This very high pass (3,175 m) is located on the mountain road that connects Bishkek with Osh. It is one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Kyrgyzstan and is easily accessible by car. The great thing about Ala Bel is that it lies above two beautiful valleys and the whole panorama there is a real feast for the eyes. From one side of the pass you can admire the Chichkan Valley and from the other side you can see the Susamir Valley.

Ala-Bel Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.175m.above the sea level,located in the Talas Ala-Too mountain range.Short term winter locks are possible.

It's very easy to pass north side to south side. Road is asphalt, the slope of the road is soft.
