The Europe Guide, an art object in the form of a rooted dandelion, is symbolically presented not only in the meadows of the Böblingen district, but also widely throughout Europe. The closed flower head, on the ribbons of stars, symbolizes core values of the EU in its official languages: peace, human rights, trust, togetherness, helpfulness, respect, harmony, and understanding. The leaves indicate the distances to the city of Böblingen's twin cities, to district partnerships, and to the diverse array of sights – both far away in Europe and close to home in the district.

Vandring

The Europe signpost was inaugurated on the occasion of the Europe Weeks 2022. According to the artist, the cool, functional and metallic structure is intended to be reminiscent of a dandelion in its shape.

The signpost is located near the center of Baden-Württemberg, south of the Böblingen Diezenhalde.
