The town of Ehingen is beautifully situated on the Danube and looks back on a 1,000-year-old history. This can be experienced above all in the town wall, the historic market square and the narrow streets. Ehingen is also known for its five breweries.

Ehingen (Danube) is a city in the southeast of Baden-Württemberg, about 23 kilometers southwest of Ulm and 67 kilometers southeast of Stuttgart. The largest city in the Alb-Donau district is a medium-sized center for the surrounding communities.

Ehingen has been a major district town since January 1st, 1974. With the neighboring communities of Griesingen, Oberdischingen and Öpfingen, the city has entered into an agreed administrative partnership. The part of the Ehingen district on the Alb plateau (33.8%) belongs to the Swabian Alb biosphere area.

The town center of Ehingen has a medieval appearance: many historical buildings have been preserved over the centuries.
The three Ehingen churches, Liebfrauenkirche, St. Blasius Church and Herz-Jesu-Kirche, whose towers dominate the cityscape, are a must on the sightseeing tour.
The former “Hospital of the Holy Spirit”, a particularly beautiful Renaissance half-timbered building in which the municipal museum now shows its exhibits, is also worth a visit. The city is also characterized by the numerous monasteries and manors.
