The valley landscape is very beautiful to look at.
The whole area is very swampy and has several natural streams flowing through it.
It is characteristic of the area that the sources of five brooks lie here, which have allowed the Schaagbach Valley to develop into a species-rich wetland. The stream meanders through damp valleys whose edges can rise up to several meters.
One of the springs is located near Haus Wildenrath south of Wildenrath.
    Absolutely worth seeing!

The dream path opens up to hikers the beauties of nature in the Schaagbachtal with different habitats. With a little luck you might see kingfishers or bats. West of Wildenrath it goes along the Schaagbach through the forest towards Birgelen. The transition between the two brook valleys is formed by an unspoilt forest landscape.
