This path genuinely surprised me. After turning off Gelderd road through a small (marked) gap in the hedge, the footpath leads along the west boundary of the field to a small dell. where you are away from the sounds of the city and surrounded by nature.
From this point, the path leads up first along the field boundary, over a small footbridge and then up a quaint lane between fields before emerging most of the way up the hill for views across Leeds.
