Odense Theatre is one of Denmark's largest theatres, with a large permanent ensemble of actors and more than 10 annual in-house productions, as well as a wealth of guest performances and activities.
The location is unique - right in the centre of Odense, in Kongens Have, within walking distance of the train station, pedestrian street, town hall and the H.C. Andersen quarter.
Odense Theatre is not only one of Denmark's largest theatres, but also the country's second oldest theatre. With roots stretching back to 1796, Odense Theatre has been running professional theatre for over 200 years.

In 1914 the theater moved to its current premises on Jernbanegade.
