The Resurrection Church is located on the territory of the now-vanished village of Mikhalkovo, which has been known since the end of the 15th century and existed until the middle of the 20th century. For more than four centuries, Mikhalkovo was the homestead of the old Vladimir noble family of the Karyakins.
In 1815, at the expense of the landowners Karyakins, the construction of a stone refectory was completed, and in 1826, the present church. In 1866, at the expense of the parishioners, the refectory was expanded. The bell tower at the church is stone.
