A pier has existed in some form in Cromer since 1391. After various wooden piers were washed away or destroyed by the sea, an iron pier was constructed by Douglass and Arnott, opening in 1901. However, gales and storms continued to plague the pier throughout its history. In February 2012, a large project was announced to improve its sea defences.

Today, the pier puts on great shows at its theater and has a restaurant bar. You should check the tide times before you visit. You can find more information, here: cromerpier.co.uk

Cromer Pier is a Grade II-listed seaside pier that is one of only five UK seaside piers with a theatre. Boasting the best crab fishing in Norfolk, food and drink, activities, and lots of golden beach, it is a great place to spend some time.

How long is the walk along Cromer Pier?
