The Bonifatiusbrunnen is located in the southern part of the Bonifatiuspark in the Riedberg district of Frankfurt. The commemorative plaque of the municipality of Kalbach says about the history of this place: “The bones of St. Boniface, apostle of the Germans, rested here in 754 AD during the transfer from Mainz to Fulda. According to legend, today's spring is said to have sprung in the night. In the Middle Ages, the pilgrimage church 'Zu Crutzen' and a Benedictine monastery stood here. The 'most leading district court of the Königstein dominion' was also located at this point."

The Boniface Fountain is located right in the Riedberg development. After Boniface's death in 754, his body was transported along this path from Mainz to Fulda. Today, you can retrace the route on the Boniface Route.

The fountain is not that easy to find. The search is worthwhile nonetheless. A real change in the somewhat dreary monotony of this part of the city.
