Theater Sneek was founded in 2008 in the former post office on Westersingel and is part of the Sneek cultural district. Construction of the new theater began in July 2010 on the site of the former post office. The post office was demolished for this purpose. The theater performances were relocated to the Noorderkerk church on the other side of the canal. The design of the new building was by the architectural firm Alberts en Van Huut.

Theater Sneek is a medium-sized theater in the Stationsbuurt of the Dutch city of Sneek.
The theater was founded in 2008 in the former post office on the Westersingel and is part of Cultural Quarter Sneek. Theater Sneek is the successor to the Amicitia Theater, which was closed at the beginning of this century and merged with CineSneek, as the city theater of Sneek. Theater Sneek has been one of the organizers of the Sneker Simmer summer festival since 2009.
