The picturesque remains of Bishop's Palace can be found alongside St David’s Cathedral. During the medieval period, this would have been the finest collection of buildings in Wales. Today, the ruins are a delightful place to explore.

While the great cathedral only asks for a donation, the part costs money. But you can already see a lot from the upper area at the church.

The ruins of the Gothic Episcopal Palace lie across the river from the cathedral and provide a good backdrop for open-air theater performances in the summer. Bishop Henry de Gower's legacy consists of the simpler east wing (his private quarters) and the larger south wing built for banquets in the great hall.
