"Triptych" is a work by the sculptor Margot Stempel-Lebert, for which she received the Daniel Henry Kahnweiler Prize from the city of Rockenhausen in 1982.
"Decay is part of life." was written on an index card in Margot Stempel-Lebert's studio. The reuse of metal elements from the scrap yard or the found oak beams incorporates decay into the work of art. Works of art that stand outdoors develop a patina or show further signs of decay. In their existence and in their transience, they convey the idea of what is existential in life.
