Przysieckie Ponds - the history of the creation of the reservoirs is connected with the period of World War II, during which the inhabitants of the surrounding towns and Toruń began mass exploitation of shallow deposits of glacial peat in this place. Peat was extracted as fuel throughout the period of the German occupation. The exploitation of peat resulted in the creation of peat excavations up to 1.5 meters deep. As a result of the action of subsurface waters, the excavations were flooded, thus creating a complex of water reservoirs.
