The farming village of Mähring, first mentioned in documents in 1331, was the westernmost place in Bohemia until after the Second World War. Seven years after the expulsion of the approximately 170 German residents in 1946, the ruins of the almost 40 properties were blown up by Czech brigade units. The village directly on the Iron Curtain was declared dissolved in 1950. But it was not forgotten.

Nice that you can now also visit this small spot on earth.
The village of Mähring was razed to the ground around 1950 because of its proximity to the Iron Curtain.
