A monastery mill has also been part of the monastery's farm since the 12th century. Among other things, the grain produced here and supplied by the farmers was processed into flour. The turbine house was added in the 19th century. Two water turbines first powered the mass mill at the Veßra Monastery porcelain factory and later generated electrical energy. The museum has been using them again to generate electricity since 2003.
