    Prince Albrecht of Prussia had the castle built from 1850 to 1854 based on a design by Schinkel's student Adolf Lohse. Today the castle is used for conferences, concerts and celebrations of all kinds.

    During the GDR era, the palace was opened in 1951 as the first pioneer palace based on the Soviet model in the GDR.

    The Albrechtsberg Castle in Dresden, also called Albrechtsschloss, is one of the three Elbe castles on the right bank of the Elbe in the Loschwitz district. It was built by Adolf Lohse between 1850 and 1854 for Prince Albrecht of Prussia, the youngest brother of the Prussian kings Friedrich Wilhelm IV and Wilhelm I.
    A wonderful castle with a very beautiful park, as well as a fantastic view of the Elbe valley.
