The Danube Bend, where the river makes a 90 ° turn to the south, is probably one of the most attractive landscapes in Hungary alongside Lake Balaton.

The Nagymaros-Visegrád ferry is a great opportunity to cross the river either just for a quick side excursion to see the attractive castles at the river and on top of the ridge, or to continue for a while on the other side. But the views are already great from here, and it's worth to continue on this left (North) bank around the spectacular Danube knee before the river swings in an almost 180° bow first north and then to the south
