Wadi Shagg Tinya is a valley that rises to the sources of Karazet el Shaq, at almost 1,700 meters above sea level.
On this mineral path, the physical test is as beautiful as the landscape. In winter, be careful: some pools of water may have frozen over and make the ground slippery.

Wadi Shagg Tinya is a peaceful, narrow canyon that follows the trail after Kharzet El Sheg. Known for its striking rock formations and calm atmosphere, this wadi offers hikers a refreshing change of scenery with shaded areas and natural rock shelters.
The terrain is mostly rocky with gentle slopes, making it a pleasant spot for a short break or to explore nearby boulders. It’s less traveled, giving you a chance to enjoy the solitude and natural beauty of the Sinai wilderness.
What to know:
Rocky, uneven terrain — good hiking shoes recommended
Limited shade but some natural shelters
