Urdadalen is one of the many mineral valleys that make up Jotunheimen National Park.
If the flow of the rivers and waterfalls that flow there is low, you will be surprised by the immense silence that reigns there.
In this valley shaded by stone, the fresco is most romantic!

Rocky climb rewarded by beautiful mountain lakes. Great views! A great alternative to the longer round over Leirvassbu. Be sure to wear high shoes. Sticks can help.

The Urdadalen offers a strenuous (a lot of boulders and stones) shortcut option from Spiterstulen to Gjendebu or vice versa. At the beginning of July (2015) the snow cover was still continuous from the Urdadalstjonne to the Hellerflossen. Here on gfs. Pay attention to lakes that are not visible under the snow cover and the danger of avalanches. At the beginning of July (2015) we passed a freshly released avalanche in the southern part of the Urdadalen.
