The German-Polish bridge festival takes place alternately on the German and Polish side every year on the 2nd Saturday in September and is becoming increasingly popular.

The Neisse bridge between Zelz and Siedlec was officially opened on September 5, 2008. Emergency vehicles should also drive over the bridge in the future. The connection is also important for the development of cross-border tourism, as it connects the parts of the “Muskaueraltenbogen” geopark in Brandenburg and Poland as well as cycle paths on the Neisse and Spreewald rivers with the Polish cycle path network. It was closed to vehicle traffic; Lowerable bollards on the German and Polish sides prevented this.
