St. George's Church is a Greek Orthodox church in the city of Madaba. The oldest history of the church dates back to the 6th century AD during the Byzantine era, while the current church dates back to the late 19th century. AD was built. The church is famous for the Madaba map, which is part of the mosaic floor of the ancient Byzantine church. The map dates from 560 AD and shows the Holy Land, particularly Jerusalem.
