His first poem was published in the literary journal Yedigün while he was still a student. In later years he continued to write. In 1947 he published his first volume of poetry. He also published a travel book about his travels in Europe. In total he has published 33 volumes of poetry and 17 other books. Most of his poems are love poetry. He also wrote satirical poems.
