The railway port in Ruhrort is now used as a marina and dock for the inland shipping museum. The bridge over the harbor offers a wide view over the Rhine, to the mill pasture and the Friedrich-Ebert-Brücke.

On the small bridge of the Dammstraße play, inter alia, the closing scenes of the episodes "rat nest" (as Schimi there causes a traffic jam) and "hard on the limit" (as he staggers drunk from the yacht club on the bridge). In "The Case of Shimanski" he stands with the white, blue-eyed cat at the bridge railing. In "Schimanski's Weapon" Erwin Spilonska drives his boat through the harbor basin. In "Loverboy" the clubhouse is called "Chez Marie-Claire" and it is there on Hänens knighthood initiated.
