Remains of a prehistoric settlement; a Talayot is a towering megalithic structure characteristic of the early Iron Age of Mallorca and Menorca, after which the Talayot culture (850-550 BC) is named.
In Menorca, 230 archeological sites with Talayots were counted - more or less well preserved.

Two talayots, one of which is quite well preserved. It has an oval cross-section with a diameter of just 22m. As a special feature, it has a ramp on its north side, over which you can zigzag the platform at its top.

Hard to believe that this stone pile is so historically valuable. :-)
But from the top you have an excellent overview and a fresh breeze around your nose.
