The Schindlergut, named after the Schindler-Escher family that owns it, today consists of a historic and a modern part of the park and is highly valued as a recreational area and center in the little green district of Unterstrass.
With its tower and the mighty belt of trees, the Schindlergut stands prominently in the urban fabric. It was built, rebuilt and renovated by well-known architects and landscape architects. Despite the many interventions, it is still an important garden monument.
