From Ayala Cove, hikers can easily access the Perimeter Road, a 5-mile paved loop that circles the island, offering continuous panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. No hiking permits are required for day use on Angel Island.
