The Siegfried Line Trail is a historical themed trail that runs along the remaining sections of the so-called Siegfried Line, also known as the Westwall. It commemorates the former military defense system on the western border of the German Reich and today serves as a platform for an objective examination of history and the culture of remembrance. Along the trail, there are bunkers, tank barriers, and information panels that provide historical context and highlight the current significance of the former fortifications as natural habitats and living spaces.
