"According to legend, the" rabbit trail "has nothing to do with these fearful animals with the big ears. It was much more the Saxon king Widukind who was really badass. And so, for once, he did not go to war Charlemagne, but went off with his servant. But the servant's name was Hase - so the good Widukind was walking with Herr Hase on the Hasenpatt to eat with his sister Pickert, a kind of pancake. "

The Hasenpatt, here from Pödinghausen, always slightly uphill to the Pödinghauser wood. After leaving the grove you continue on the south road and the Braker Weg southwards, past an old windmill stump. A little later, the golf course of the Ravensberger Land golf course is on the right of the path. Opposite a Siek with a beautiful rest book forest. After crossing the highway, you pass fishponds and the saddle Meierhof Upmeier.
