Ciclism
After its restoration, the castle estate is once again an attraction in Altlandsberg. It doesn't matter whether it's for highlights such as the saddle festival or the scarecrow festival or just when you're cycling through - a stop is always worthwhile.

Once a part of the baroque castle burnt down in 1757, it was rebuilt in 1768 on the foundations of remaining stones. For a long time, it was the center of the reformed community founded in 1662 by Freiherr Otto von Schwerin.

Otto von Schwerin, who was born in 1616 and died in 1679, was a courtier, diplomat and, from 1658, first minister of the Electorate of Brandenburg and of decisive importance in the formation of the Prussian state. In 1654 Otto Freiherr von Schwerin bought the town of Altlandsberg, which was heavily devastated in the Thirty Years' War, including the castle.
