In addition to the attractive fountain, the redesigned market also has an interesting feature. Throughout the entire area of the market, you can learn important details from the history of the Hanseatic city through a large number of stones set into the pavement. Wednesday is always market day.

The market square of the Hanseatic city of Anklam has seen many facets of history since the city was founded. But it is only since 2004 that the past of the Hanseatic city of Anklam has been literally reflected on the newly designed market square. The so-called century ribbons, a marketplace design that is so far unique in Germany, guide you step by step through history.
