    Rottweil este considerată cel mai vechi oraș din Baden-Württemberg și are un centru vechi foarte pitoresc, cu case frumoase cu grinzi de lemn, vopsite în culori vii și decorate cu drag cu picturi. Vara, orașul este deosebit de frumos, deoarece în centrul vechi înfloresc peste tot flori, iar pe străduțe și piețe nenumărate cafenele stradale invită la popas.

    Centru vechi pitoresc, prin care mii de petrecăreți defilează pe străzi cu măștile și costumele lor tradiționale în timpul Rottweiler Narrensprung, lunea și marțea carnavalului.
