    Plauer (Luckenberger) Gate Tower
Watchtowers next to the gate were a special feature of Brandenburg towns.
The cylindrical, four-storey tower was built around 1400 and was connected to a battlemented gate, with a door leading to the battlement. The connection to the city wall can be seen on the northwest side. The tower was provided with crossbow slots on all sides. The projecting privy on the west side above the former moat shows the location of the former guard room. The top was formed by a projecting half-timbered storey ("hurdle") with a conical helmet and dormer windows.
