The Werdensteiner Moos is a nature reserve and is one of the largest raised bogs in the district of Oberallgäu.
The moss creates a habitat for a wide variety of animal and plant species.
Highlights among the children include the many different experience stations, such. B. the barefoot path, lookout towers, the castle ruin and more.
But even the "big ones" can learn a great variety of information about the moor habitat from the information boards.

Small moor that has been renatured since the 1980s. It's hard to imagine the struggles that conservationists had to endure back then. A memorial cross by the wayside reminds of one of them today. The moss is beautiful and easy to walk on and interesting even in winter. Two vantage points also allow you to see the moor from up high. An example of what should happen much more: the restoration of the drained moors for the benefit of all.
