The former monastery church of St. Georg and Maria zu Lippoldsberg, now the parish church of the local evangelical community, is one of the purest Romanesque basilicas in northern Germany. On this church you can read the Romanesque building scheme like a pattern, great! In addition, the centuries-old building exudes a lot of atmosphere and invites you to stop by. The basilica is certainly one of the most impressive churches in the Weser Uplands!

The medieval monastery church in Lippoldsberg bears the title "Architectural Monument of National Significance". The basilica, built in the Romantic style, is still a very spiritual place today. In addition to community life, pilgrims also come there again and again, there is a monastery bookshop and the association The Society for Free Journalism has its headquarters there. As a hiker, you can also stay overnight in the hostel near the monastery church.
