The longest open-air gallery is in Friedrichshain and has existed since 1990. 118 artists painted their works on the hinterland wall between Oberbaumbrücke and Ostbahnhof along a distance of almost one and a half kilometres. The Wall still bears witness to the hopes and exuberant joy that was felt everywhere in Berlin shortly after the Wall came down. In 2009 the individual works were renovated again by the artists and the gallery has been a listed building ever since.

Wonderful street art through the ages, you should definitely plan enough time to walk slowly along here.

The last piece of the original Berlin Wall is located here over a distance of 1.3 kilometres.
The remains of the Berlin Wall were painted by various artists after reunification, making the former gray dividing wall the longest open-air gallery in the world. Some of the most well-known paintings such as "The Brother Kiss" by Dimitrji Vrubel or Birgit Kinder's Trabant crashing through the wall are still popular motifs for postcards today. The East Side Gallery is a listed building. Source: berlin.de/machen/3559756-3558930-east-side-gallery.html
