Hollende Castle is one of the smaller castle complexes that first appeared in the Marburger Land in the 10th century. They belonged to the early tower castles, that is, castle complexes that consist only of a central, stone living room and a surrounding wall; at most, a small outbuilding is to be expected.
You can climb the castle hill via a footpath or a staircase built on the steep slope. Remnants of the wall are still present on the hill. An info point provides information about the size and nature of the castle complex.
