This museum, which is probably unique in Germany, shows in a detailed and humorous way the arduous washing day characterized by hard physical work in Grandma's time. The oldest of the more than 5,000 exhibits date from the 17th century, but the majority comes from the time of our grandparents. From a small bar of soap to a ton of cold shortage, a vivid picture of the development of everyday housewives is conveyed.
