At about 680 meters altitude is one of the most beautiful lookout towers in the Sauerland. It is 24 meters high and when you climb it, you look down over 700 meters on the green hills of this beautiful area. Incidentally, the tower is named after the Rhine-Weser watershed, which runs over the Westerberg (where the tower stands). In the tower there is a restaurant and in the old stable buildings next door a hiking hotel.

The Rhein-Weser Tower is a 24 meter high observation tower on a hilltop of the Westerberg in the Rothaar Mountains. The name indicates that the ridge of the Rothaar Mountains largely forms a watershed: between the rivers that flow into the Rhine and the rivers that flow towards the Weser. Several hiking trails intersect at the tower - the Rothaarsteig, the Wilhelm-Münker-Weg and the Christine-Koch-Weg. In the Rhein-Weser Tower there is a restaurant and even guest rooms to stay overnight.
