The idyllic local recreation area around the Visselseen is in close proximity to the city center. The "Visselsee II", behind the house of education, is specially designed for dogs. Visselsee III was opened for swimming in 2010 and offers a large lawn, benches and the fine, around ten meter long sandy beach to cool off on hot summer days.
