From the west side of the "Wieter" mountain, the Wieterturm can be easily reached by car via the Wieterallee. Due to the (somewhat uneven) asphalt surface, this route can also be crossed by cyclists, hikers and runners. At the top there is a parking lot, a restaurant, a lookout tower and a wonderful view, especially over the city and the lake district towards the northwest. Through a few deciduous tree tops you can see far in all directions. For everyone without a car, the route over the east side of the "Wieter's" is much more pleasant, since less disruptive traffic can be expected here. The "painted" paths that lead from south to north and from north to south to the tower swing almost romantically through the young deciduous forest. However, good fitness is required here, especially on the last few meters, since it is quite steep. In addition, mountain bikers can be expected here at any time, who now seem to have discovered the mountain for rapid descents.
