Johannes Strieder, born in November 1838, lived there in the Striedersmühle with his mother Clara Strieder, born 1815, and his brother Philipp, born in October 1845. In 1859 he had tried to prevent a French looter / deserter from plundering his family's emergency provisions camp in the forest. During the conflict, the Frenchman died in self-defense.

Fight for the probably vital supplies. And also that many Hunsrückers emigrated to Brazil with families in 1845/1846, and later from 1857 to 1862, which lured with relative wealth.

And so Johannes also emigrated to Brazil via Antwerp. On the crossing he got to know his young wife. Back then, she was only able to acquire land in Posadas / northern Brazil / near Iguazu as a married woman.
