The town hall is a national monument and is used as the wedding location of the municipality of Molenwaard. After the municipal reorganization as of January 1, 2019, this town hall will also be the location for official occasions of the new municipality of Molenlanden.
It is also the home base for the Nieuwpoort Historical Circle.
There is a museum established that includes an antiquity room.

The Nieuwpoort Town Hall is a town hall in the Dutch town of Nieuwpoort in the province of South Holland.To better defend Holland, a new fortification was built around Nieuwpoort in the years 1673-1695. Part of this modernization was the construction of a new town hall. The building was built in 1697.The town hall has a platform at the front. The roof is topped by a hipped roof with an open dome. The building stands on an overhang of the harbor with a cradle building with a turning gable at the back.Since 1968 it has been protected as a national monument. The Nieuwpoort Museum is located in the town hall.
