The middle part had to do some inventing of trail and push but quickly found the trail again. Then on to a grit bridleway then near the bottom take the grass track straight ahead its fun all the way to the road, quite a climb up the road to the start though!

Can get boggy after rain. This is your most direct route to the excellent Apedale gravel roads from Grinton. If it's been really wet, you can climb further on the road for 800m or so which will lead to the excellent gravel of Harkerside Moor & then up to Apedale.
