She had a total of three daughters and was widowed twice. Many travelers have been able to recharge their batteries during short stays from their fresh fruit and sweets; other shops, such as Goetheallee, were too far from the station for travelers. In any weather, the woman known as the "old miller" sat faithfully and reliably at her stand, which consisted of a wooden table, an old pram and numerous umbrellas as a "protective wall".
Today she is considered the oldest street vendor in the world and the name "Charlotte Müller" is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records. But above all it is a Göttingen ORIGINAL!
