    The refuge is located opposite the de la Mare glacier in the middle of the Stelvio National Park. While you take a break here, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the unspoiled mountain panorama.

    The hut is open in spring and summer. Further information about the hut such as overnight prices can be found on the website rifugiocevedale.it/de.

      The Larcher refuge is an alpine refuge located in the Ortles-Cevedale group, in Alta Val Venezia, in front of the Vedretta de la Mare, the Cime del Cevedale, Zufall, Palon de la Mare and Viòz. It is named after the famous senator of the Kingdom of Italy who, for 17 years, held the role of president of the SAT (Società Alpinisti Tridentini). The first rudimentary construction dates back to 1882. Over the years the refuge has been modernized several times and in the summer of 2009 it was completely renovated; inside it is equipped with a modern heating system which allows it to be open from March to April for the ski mountaineering season. The landscape backdrop is that of the Stelvio National Park with its characteristic flora and fauna typical of an uncontaminated high mountain environment.
