From Canzo, the path is challenging and has a difference in altitude of about 800 m, with a travel time of about 3 hours. From Pian del Tivano, the route is easier and shorter, with a duration of about 1.5 hours. This excursion is suitable for medium-level hikers, although some sections require attention due to the difference in altitude.

Monte Croce, at 1,350 m, is less well-known than Palanzone, but equally fascinating. It offers a quiet route surrounded by greenery and is located a short distance from Palanzone, often being included in itineraries that touch both peaks. Access is possible from Rezzago or Asso, with easy paths that connect it to Palanzone. It is possible to create a loop that touches both peaks.
