    In 1663 a chapel was built in the hamlet of Engsbergen, of which the choir has been preserved. In 1806 the parish became independent and in 1840 the present church was built. The interior contains valuable furniture, such as the organ.

    The famous Geelse organ builder Jacob Verbuecken made a small and large organ in 1752 that was placed in the Aarschot beguinage church. When that church was demolished in 1853, the Engsbergen church factory bought the organ. It has graced the church ever since.

    On November 4, 1976, the instrument was protected and has since been part of the organ patrimony in our country. The organ with no less than 1310 pipes offers a beautiful aesthetic view.

    The organ case and balustrade are in Rococo.
