Since 1999, the volunteers of the “Friends of the Zoerselbos” have kept the Flemish visitor center Zoerselbos open. This is the central meeting place where you can find all information about the area, where all activities take place and from where the walks start. Admission to the visitor center and the exhibition is always free.
The visitor center is open on all weekends and public holidays and also on Fridays during school holidays. You can visit her from 13 am to 17 pm
At the back of the visitor center you will find the old-fashioned farmer's room.
Here you can view photos that illustrate what it looked like many years ago. Furthermore, a number of antique pieces, which used to be part of the furniture of the forest house, are on display. If you go outside through the farmer's room, you are in the middle of a traditional farmer's flower garden. Here are a lot of species that are typical of post-war peasant flower gardens. A number of species are becoming increasingly rare. The green shop does offer its own harvested seed.
