The Kropemann is a kind of bogeyman that lurks in the water to catch with its hook children who get too close to the banks. In Redange-sur-Attert, where it is said to have taken up residence, it is worshipped. Not only is a monument in front of the town hall and a wooden sculpture dedicated to this macabre character, but a big festival in his honor is held every year on the last Sunday of September.

However, since the Kropemann prefers the waters of the Attert, you can jump into one of the pools of the splendid intercommunal swimming pool! The monster also has no access to the angling pond at the other end of the town, nor to the "Um Hounig" pond, which connects the villages of Redange and Ell by a beautiful mulch path.

As the capital of the largest canton in Luxembourg, the municipality of Redange, with its hilly meadow landscape, is both the starting point of the 36 km long Wisen West Tour for experienced cyclists and one of the highlights of the Dällchen West Tour, of medium difficulty. A third tour, the Jhangeli West Tour, named after a legendary narrow-gauge train that once ran back and forth along part of this route, is perfect for a family outing. It is also a great place for a family outing, especially since you can see a restored train station at Niederpallen.
