Keeper's Pond is a beautiful little pond near the summit of the Blorenge mountain. There is an information sign and a conveniant parking place next to it, where you can park your bike (or car) and have a little stroll around.

The blorenge is riddled with important industrial remains and this area can rightly lay claim to the cradle of the industrial revolution in Wales Alexander Cordell historical novel Rape of the fair country is set in the 19th century industrial Monmouth and features many in and around this route. This is an easy walk to the summit of the blorenge is following by an exhilarating tour around the edge of the summit plateau. There are good tracks throughout and extensive views from Somerset to mid Wales. There is hardly an ascent so it is perfect expedition for anyone who likes summits and dislikes climbing. It's called around the iron mountain.
